Ashley Sheekey

Site designed in collaboration with Chris Corby

Ashley Sheekey is an artist based in Brighton, UK. I make work (drawings, ceramics, writing, collaborative projects) that explores my interest in the urban environment. I am especially intrigued by the overlap between public and private space, and the presence of generous and hostile design.

At the moment

I am currently bringing together a selection of my large flower vases to show alongside some newer, smaller vases for a solo show at First & Last as part of Worthing Fringe Festival. The show is in collaboration with Chalk Farm Flowers and I am very excited to see my vases filled with their locally grown, seasonal cut flowers. The exhibition runs from 10th–28th June 2026 and is free to attend.

I am very happy to continue working with The House, most recently completing a commission for a pair of sconces based on a little wall tile I made a couple of years ago.

Finally, wonderful Twofolde studio and store are now stocking a selection of my work at their beautiful shop over in Kemptown (Brighton, UK).
